a perfect fall weekend + weekly planning

This weekend was pretty much the epitome of what I love about fall. Maybe it’s because of all the pumpkin that was consumed? Or maybe all the great times had with my incredible boyfriend and friends? Or because I actually had time to breathe and relax and not feel like I had an overwhelming to-do list to tackle. In any event, I had a perfect 10-outta-10 weekend and I hope you did, too!

*dinner date with the boy at Insomnia. We had an incredible Travelzoo deal: $49 for an appetizer, two entrees, two desserts, and six drinks (three each). Not too shabby huh!

*despite feeling a bad head cold coming on, a wonderful Friday night was had with some besties. (Thanks for hosting, Katie!)

*a wonderfulllll, eight-hour sleep. Those don’t come often, so I get really excited and happy when they do!

*a lazy Saturday morning with quiet moments, cuddles, pumpkin chai tea + chocolate pumpkin pancakes (recipe to come, I promise!)

*an incredibly challenging circuit workout from Women’s Health. Try this “Burn More Fat in Less Time”, if you dare.

*a Saturday afternoon spent walking around enjoying the weather, doing some fake shopping (fake since I can’t afford anything but continue to look/torture myself), stopping in for lunch & David’s Tea (we tried the Banana Bread and Red Velvet Cake flavours… both delicious!) and running a few errands.

*a Saturday night spent celebrating my good friend Alex’s birthday! It was one of the best nights out I’ve had in a while; one where everyone was in good spirits and ready to have a great time. I bumped into a few other friends unexpectedly, which was a VERY VERY welcome surprise. I love when that happens 🙂

*We attempted to participate in Nuit Blanche, but didn’t start until after we left the bar around 1:30, so it was a kind of pathetic effort. We did see a few exhibits, though! For those who aren’t from Toronto, Nuit Blache is an annual art celebration that happens in the city for one night from sunset to sunrise (7pm to 7am). There are literally hundreds of exhibits and interesting “experiential” pieces in every corner of the downtown and all the restaurants, bars, shopping malls, etc. stay open late.

*a relaxing yoga session, followed by laundry, grocery shopping, baking gluten-free pumpkin muffins (I’m really workin’ the pumpkin), a nice phone chat with my mama + a massage. Yep, pretty much an ideal Sunday 🙂
